A new study in mice on ECT and Alzheimer's protein

ECT, or electroconvulsive therapy, is an effective treatment for severely depressed patients. However, many patients are worried about side effects, especially long-term memory difficulties. Researchers at Lund University have investigated whether ECT affects the levels of the Alzheimer's-related protein beta-amyloid in the mouse brain.
